By definition, vignettes are small, decorative, visual designs; a pleasing picture or view. They can be found in the visual and literary arts. For our purposes we are looking at the surfaces in the home as ideal spaces to express our personalities. Surface views can be snippets of beauty that serve functionally as well as to adorn.In this blog, the romance of a Paris apartment meets vintage, rustic cottage appeal. The blend of styles creates a graceful, ultra-comfortable, carefree environment. Seemingly effortless are the blends of soft linens & leather, distressed furniture, flea market finds, architectural salvage, chandeliers and an array of garden decor. Most of the colors used are muted, white on white with touches of soft grays, creams and white-washed colors.
