Moving furniture around is a great opportunity for deep cleaning. With the kids being home for the summer, we needed a room with a better conversation/reading area... the living room got a make over! If a room is not being used then it is wasted space and in need of a change. If a piece of furniture is not bolted down or built-in then it can be moved. Life in a small house is about adapting to changes thrown our way! Repurposing rooms and furniture uses is a great way to use every inch of space wisely.

Once the room has been decluttered and space has been regained, it is time to clean it up. The lists that follow can be used for deep cleaning or adapted for general weekly cleaning. Basic Cleaning Supplies:
* Vacuum
* 2-Step Ladder
* Broom and Dust Pan
* Long-handled Woolie (or feather duster)
* Sponge Mop (for floors without carpet)
Cleaning Caddy:
* Rubber Gloves
* Glass Cleaner
* Paper Towels
* All-Purpose Cleaner
* Microfiber towel (for dry dusting or wet wiping)
* Clipboard with Check List
Cleaning Check List:
* Thoroughly clean light fixture, ceiling fan & cold air return vents
* Dust or wet wipe walls from top to bottom
* Dust or wet wipe exposed windowsills and ledges
* Clean windows inside and out
* Dust baseboards
* Dust shelving, knickknacks and wall art
* Dust furniture from top to bottom (treat and remove stains)
* Wet wipe leaves of live or silk potted plants
* Empty trash bin
* Take throw rugs outside and shake them
* Vacuum / sweep and mop flooring
