TACO SEASONING

There is nothing better than homemade seasoning mixes. They are versatile, the ingredients are wholesome with no unwanted additives (like MSG, soy or corn) and best of all, the recipe can be tweaked for heat preferences!  We have a local farmer's market with its own spice shop that supplies us with the absolute freshest herbs and spices, sold in small or bulk quantities at a down low price.  Soulard Market is located in downtown St. Louis and worth a trip if you live in the area!

TACO SEASONING (Of course, it's Paleo!)
Note: Recipe makes 1 ounce of seasoning.
Use 1 teaspoon (more or less) of seasoning per pound of ground meat.

1 Tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
In a small bowl, mix all spices well.  Store in an air-tight glass container.  Tweak the recipe to suit your taste and enjoy!
