It seems most people have at least one ladder, some have shiny new ones and others have old ones... Lucky! A few years ago I was convinced to trade my old wobbly wooden one for a slick new red ladder. My dad was concerned for his daughter's safety and decided to trade the hazardous rungs for a sturdy commercial model. With my faithful, old woody gone I'm on the hunt for another oldie. Don't worry, Dad. This time the rickety antique will be for decorative use! What's the deal with old-ladder-love? Think about it. Ladders have a bit of romance hanging from their rungs. They reach for the stars, enable star-crossed lovers to elope... they take us up to high places like lofts and attics, as well as down into the shadowy depths of adventure. Ladders come in varying shapes, sizes and materials. They are built for climbing, hanging, storing and displaying. If you have a ladder with unique character, consider bringing it out from its dark corner of storage and into the light by re-purposing it in a creative way.
Hopefully, you will find something that catches your eye and makes you sigh and say,
"I could do that!"

When on the LADDER of success, don't step back to admire your work!
