HERB BLEND IN A GRINDER

Mix equal parts of freshly dried herbs & spices in a small bowl:

Rosemary leaves
Oregano leaves
Basil leaves
Roasted Red pepper (optional)
Roasted garlic (slices or pieces, not ground)
Colored Peppercorns
Coarse Sea Salt
Empty pepper mill/grinder.

* Gently stir the herbs with spices
* Spoon into a clean, dry pepper mill.
* Place on the table or store with your spices.
* Grind over eggs, meats, poultry, fish, vegetables or salads.  Enjoy!

A Note about Grinders:
Choose a grinder made of wood, glass or stainless steel grinder; not plastic. If you have a grinder with old spices or herbs in it.  Empty and reuse it!  If not, purchase a pepper mill that suits the size of the your family.  If you are cooking for one or two, a small grinder is appropriate.  A large family may need a larger grinder.  You will be replacing the herb blend in 6 months; choose accordingly.

A Note about Herbs:
Fresh is best!  If you grow your own herbs; you rock!  Herbs freshly dried are more flavorful than those that sit on store shelves for months on end.  Herbs and spices loose their color and flavor after 6 months and will need to be replaced.
