GRILLED ZUCCHINI

Grilled Beef, Turkey or Pork Sliders
Grilled Zucchini

GRILLED ZUCCHINI

4 small zucchini
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
sea salt and pepper


*  If using a gas grill;  preheat it to 350 degrees. 
*  If using a charcoal grill;  pile the coals together to create a hot zone for direct grilling. 
* Clean grill with a grill brush. Oil the grill by holding a few folded paper towels with tongs, dip in olive oil, and brush the oil (sparingly; it is flammable) onto the grill grate.  
* If using a grill pan;  heat the pan over medium heat until hot.  Add oil to the food, not to the pan. 
* Rinse and dry the zucchini. 
* Snap or cut off the woody ends and discard them.  
* Cut the zucchini lengthwise into 1/4-inch-thick planks or into wheels.  
* Put the zucchini planks in a large bowl and toss with the garlic and olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  
* Grill the zucchini over direct heat until lightly browned and tender (not mushy), approx. 4 minutes per side.
* Enjoy with a grilled meat or fish of your choice!
