During the wee hours this morning one of the largest earthquakes in history (registering 8.9) shivered, quivered, rocked and swayed northern Japan releasing a tsunami of epic proportions. Tokyo, located 230 miles away watched helplessly as skyscrapers tumbled, buildings were leveled and lives were lost.
In a tiny, mountain village 80 miles from the quake's epicenter lives my sister, Joni and her family, her husband and four little ones. The six of them share a one bedroom, itty-bitty cottage made of wood and paper... it resembles a fairytale doll house, complete with a tiny garden plot and a mountain stream nearby. We have not heard from them, nor do I expect we will for awhile... if they survived.
Many people are asking how they might help. The following link is offering ways to do so. (Copy and paste).

May I ask for help as well? An unknown author wrote: "The power of 'we' is stronger than the power of 'me'." May I ask that 'we' unite and pray for those affected by this latest natural disaster... including my beloved sister and her family. May Almighty God help those who are in need.
